Our Needs & Options Consultation is a very exciting opportunity to explore your initial ideas, get a feel for the site and to begin to uncover the true potential of your project. 

Through a structured discussion we develop a Strategic Brief, based upon what matters most to you. This provides the chance to assess all of the opportunities and constraints, which will inform design decisions before any significant design costs are incurred.

At Abode Architects we see this process as absolutely critical and it allows us to create a design that will exceed all of your expectations. During the Needs & Options Consultation, we will also share our Design Road Map, which aligns with the RIBA Stages of Work, and takes you through each of the design stages & highlights key moments where decisions require to be made. 

Our discussions will focus around you, and how the project will enrich and benefit your life. We will advise of budgetary constraints; timescales; statutory approvals (planning & building warrant); any additional consultants required; and, sustainability.

Integral to our ethos is sustainability and this forms an important discussion topic during the meeting. We design every project with the aim of making the construction, and use, as sustainable as possible. This design approach should be viewed as an opportunity to improve, making it more comfortable, cheaper to run and better for the environment. 

The appraisals can either be virtual or an in-person site visit. Both will last for up to 1.5 hours, and you have our full and uninterrupted attention & professional expertise throughout.
